About Italy

Culturally rich, artistically talented and geologically gifted, Italy is simply enchanting. Every city in Italy has its own unique charm, but some are just magical.

Rome, the city of lovers, is a mix of artistic and architectural masterpieces, classical ruins, beautiful gardens and modern offerings.

Florence, the birthplace of Renaissance, is just as mesmerizing and thoroughly compelling. Few cities in the world are as packed with extraordinary art and masterpieces as Firenze.

Venice oozes romance and mystery. Take a walk along the beautiful canals, simply sit in an open café and watch the world go by. You can even explore the fascinating lesser known alleyways and narrow streets around San Marco.

The ideal time to visit Italy is between April to June and September to October when the weather is pleasant, prices are less, and streets aren’t crowded. The months of July and August are packed with tourists, and have their own charm.

Foods to Try in Italy

1
Italian Pizza This world popular dish had humble beginnings in the small town of Naples, Italy. There are two types of pizzas you can choose from in Italy: Neopolitan style, or the Roman style. The former has a thick cheesy crush, and the latter is paper thin. We’d recommend you try both.
3
Tiramisu If you want to experience more of Italian sweets, try out the Tiramisu. A popular after-meal desert, the Tiramisu is made up of layers of soft and sweet ladyfingers coated in coffee, cream cheese and cookies.
2
Italian Coffee Italian Coffee is quite different from what you get at your local coffee shop. For instance, if you order latte, you’ll simply be served a cup of plain milk. Drinking coffee in Italy is a skill, and takes a quite a bit of learning. You should certainly try out different verities of coffee while you’re there.
4
Gelato Another world-famous delicacy, you can’t leave Italy without trying the local Gelato. You’ll find hundreds of shops selling Gelatos, you should look for ones that aren’t brightly colored – they are the ones that taste especially good.
